The O'Meara
Designed by 1998 Open Champion and US Masters Champion Mark O'Meara, beware as this beauty of a classic parkland golf course is still full of challenges. Meander through ancient woodlands and skirt the banks of the river Rye before sending the golf ball soaring over golden waters. Played by over 30,000 golfers every season the 18th hole offers a breath-taking backdrop of the historic Palladian Manor House, reflective lake and picturesque Boat House-said to have been custom built for Queen Victoria. Designed to challenge golfers of all abilities whilst bringing the beauty and history of the Carton House estate to the fore.
The Montgomerie
Inspired by the greatest links lands of the world, The Montgomerie, an inland links experience, pays tribute to the traditions of the game and sets a challenge like no other. Designed by Colin Montgomerie with numerous cavernous bunkers to test even the seasoned golfer, journey across 7,300 yards of impeccable greens and vast fairways as you play on the soil many an Irish Open champion has. Home to Golf Ireland and its National Academy, Carton proudly provides the best golf practice facilities in Ireland, with state-of-the-art technological equipment to unlock the potential of your game.
You can access further expert knowledge and golf apparel at the onsite Pro Shop. The changing facilities ensure a comfortable start and end to your game. You can then unwind in our spa and wellness area complete with 18 metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

There are many ways to savour such moments at Carton. Recharge at the spa. Enjoy a nourishing and well-earned meal at one of our restaurants, or choose a private dinner experience for your people. Celebrate effort and toast success at The Carriage House or retire to the Whiskey Library in the Palladian Manor House to share anecdotes from the fairway with good friends. Retire for the evening to one of our 169 beautifully appointed guest bedrooms, 18 of which are located in the Manor House. The guest rooms in the contemporary wing have been recently refurbished and contain all comforts you come to expect and more.
