Test Yourself On The O' Meara Course At Carton House

Designed By The 1998 Open Champion & US Masters Champion Mark O'Meara

GUI Cups & Shields Finals 2014

Designed by 1998 Open Champion and US Masters Champion Mark O'Meara, this classic parkland course might lull you with its beauty but is still full of challenge.

You'll find yourself skirting the banks of the river Rye then sending the ball soaring over its golden waters. And, when you cross the greens, it is as if your feet float on a thousand velvet kisses from beneath.

"Carton golf course is a magical place, full of beauty and wonderful history. My idea for the golf course was to make sure members and guests really have fun out there. It has to challenge golfers of all abilities and I think that is exactly what we achieved. I am thrilled with what we created"

New 1st & 18th Hole on The O'Meara

Carton House has made changes to the magnificent O’Meara Golf Course with the re-location of the 1st and 18th holes.

“This year we are making exciting changes to the O’Meara course to enhance what is already a great golfing experience. The O’Meara course is played by over 30,000 players every season and Carton House is committed to ensuring an excellent experience for all golfers. The changes to the 1st and 18th holes will now enable all golfers to walk to and from the 1st and 18th holes with both holes starting and finishing in front of the Old House. The new 1st hole will be a Par 5 that will play away from the Old House and the new 18th Hole will be a world class finishing hole playing down towards the Old House. As you approach the green you cannot help but marvel at the magnificent backdrop with the Great House in front of you and to the left the view of the lake and Boat House."
