We are strictly adhering to Golf Ireland protocols during this time and doing our utmost to ensure the best possible golfing experience for you, our members. Below are a few key points to note prior to visiting us for golf:
As restrictions continue to be eased, we would like to remind all golfers of the current guidelines which have been issued from the HSE, with particular regard to travel from countries outside of Ireland. All persons returning from international travel are requested to follow government guidelines regarding quarantining and restricting of movements from their date of return. In our efforts to continue to keep Carton House Golf a safe golfing destination for all, including our own team, we would ask members and visitors to adhere to these HSE guidelines prior to booking a round of golf. Our priority is, and will continue to be, keeping our members, guests and colleagues as safe as possible. We appreciate your assistance in helping us achieve this.
The Pro-Shop is open, please wear a mask upon entry even if you have been vaccinated and maintain appropriate physical distancing
Registration is in the Pro Shop and we ask all golfers to adhere to social distancing when making your way inside
Ideally, all transactions are to be paid with credit card however we are accepting cash too
Clubhouse toilet facilities are open as well as on-course toilets. Changing rooms/locker rooms will remain closed until further notice. Please change your shoes etc. at your vehicle in the carpark
Golfers should not visit the Club if displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 or if feeling unwell
Arrive at the Clubhouse no more than 15 minutes before your reserved tee-time
The putting and chipping greens are open for warm up prior to your round
Pull trollies, rental sets and buggies are available. Please note that a one person one buggy rule applies unless playing from the same household
All rakes have been removed from the courses and a local rule is in place that permits placing your golf ball in any bunker on the course
Golfers are requested to personally dispose of any rubbish in the bins at the Clubhouse
Please observe physical distancing at all times on the course. Do not enter the next teeing ground until the all members of the group in front have played their tee-shots and exited the teeing ground. Do not exchange or share equipment, food or drink with other players during your round. Do not pick up another player’s equipment or golf ball
If your ball is lost, unplayable, or in a penalty area, don’t take an option under the rules that involves doubling back on your position on the course. Instead, use an option that allows you to keep your position on the course
Golfers are directed to leave the pin in the cup at all times and to avoid touching same
Golfers are asked to call or email the Club with any post-round health issues or Covid-19 related queries
For now, The Carriage House is now open for hotel residents and golf members and member guests only with a valid proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
The Carriage House Hatch is open 7 days for golf visitors and walkers from 8.30am - 6.00pm daily serving a range of hot and cold barista beverages, fresh organic pastries, treats, gourmet sandwiches and freshly prepared home-made soup. Please maintain a safe physical distance when queuing and follow the signage directing to the golfers queue.
