Here at Carton House, Maynooth we are celebrating all things Irish by showcasing the best of Irish craft and cooking throughout the St Patricks' Festival 2010.

From Friday, March 12th to Wednesday March 17th, we will be hosting a series of Irish Whiskey Tastings, Irish Cookery Demonstrations and contemporary Irish Themed menus in The Linden Tree Restaurant daily.
Hotel guests will have an opportunity to ‘banish' snakes as hotel management will hide a selection of toy snakes in random bedrooms over the course of festival and the snake slayers will win a complimentary return overnight stay!

Also, on Wednesday, March 17th Carton House will host a special ‘Crafternoon Tea' in the Morrison Room where a selection of Irish artisan craft producers will be displaying their skills. Crafts people include jewellery designer, Maureen Lynch, handbag designer Ana Faye, award winning knitwear and accessory designer Liadain de Buitlear and contemporary ceramicist Thomas Diem. Guests can interact with the designers and enjoy an Irish themed Afternoon Tea in the glorious surroundings of the Old House at Carton. To conclude the St Patrick's celebrations, there will be fireworks on the lawn at 8pm followed by entertainment in The Kitchen Bar.
