Browns Bar and Café by Carton House in Brown Thomas Dublin opens

Carton House, one of Ireland’s finest luxury destination hotels today announced a stylish new partnership with Ireland’s iconic department store Brown Thomas. Carton House officially opened the doors of the most fashionable café in the heart of Dublin – Browns Bar & Café by Carton House which is housed on the lower ground level of the Brown Thomas flagship store on Grafton Street.

Carton House have created a contemporary and chic style for Browns Bar and Café by Carton House by incorporating a fresh look throughout including imagery from the Carton House estate on the walls. The new café has a welcoming and relaxed ambience with a high level of service from staff and management some of whom have worked in Carton House –ensuring the style and sophistication of the luxury hotel throughout.

Cathal Kavanagh, executive chef and creative mind in the kitchen at Carton House has chosen a selection of some of the most popular and mouth-watering dishes from Carton House for the new menu along with a wide range of coffees created by the Carton House barista.  The café will also sell products from the gourmet Carton House food range such as dressings, sauces and seasonal offerings including Christmas and Valentine’s Day products.

The indulgent rest stop will offer visitors a selection of gourmet sandwiches including Smoked Salmon Croque Monsieur, Rare Roast Irish Beef, Pear and Blue Cheese; a selection of salads including Carton Caesar Salad and Seasonal Mixed Salad; Anti Pasti and Afternoon Tea by Carton House including mini scones, finger sandwiches, fruit cake and pastries with clotted cream, a hot beverage of your choice and a glass of chilled champagne for €14.90 per person

Visitors can also enjoy a selection of carefully chosen wines, the exclusive Henri Giraud produced Brown Thomas champagne for less than €9 and a sumptuous range of champagne cocktails including favourites such as Kir Royale, Bellini and Mimosa with the Passion Mimosa adding a hint of passion fruit. The American Glory cocktail mixes champagne, orange juice, lemonade and lime for a zingy cocktail and the Bombay Bellini sees a mix of mango nectar, champagne with a slice of mango making Browns Bar and Café by Carton House the ideal city centre rendezvous point for everything from a girly lunch to a business meeting to a family lunch.
